Cake Smash! Saturday 13th of February
Our first blog post just had to be about one of the cute Cake Smashes we had last week! Tash photographed the maternity photos for this client and the newborn photos of her gorgeous baby girl. It only seemed fitting that a 1-year milestone Cake Smash should follow! My goodness was it an adorable session. The theme requested was Jemima Puddle Duck and Ducklings. Naturally, the immediate thought when planning this session was a flower display of some kind, possibly a light blue-sky background.
We have been collecting so many Cake Smash props that this one came together quite easily. The morning of the session Tash fiddled with the flower display, which turned into this beautiful overhanging magical dash of greenery. Originally, we used little window arches in the background when mid-set up, both Tash and I looked at each other with a lightbulb moment and rushed to our prop storage for this little white picket fence. It all came together so sweetly. The cake was made by 2Chefs and a Cupcake, which matched perfectly. This little pink delicious cake covered with a picket fence was beautiful.
What a wonderful way to celebrate turning 1! Our little client was adorable, we had so much fun with her family making funny faces and dancing to nursery rhymes. I think Tash captured this little lady perfectly, just look at these photos... My goodness! CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
